Jodhaa-Akba is a forthcoming period film, to be released in 2008. It is being directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker the director of Oscar-nominated Lagaan. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles. The songs released a few days back. All songs have a historical background and all of them are melodious and soothing to the ears. The much awaited movie Bheema is going to be released this Makar Sankranthi ie January 14th. This is turning out to be one of the biggest film for Vikram after a long break after Anniyan. His movies are always above par and his acting has been a forte in all his movies. Trisha pairs up with Vikram in this film for the 2nd time after the success of Saamy. Lingusamy is trying to make a come back in this movie. The trailor has released and is turning out to be a big hit. The songs are already a runaway success and so lot would be expected from the film. Vikram, as the looks suggest, is playingthe role of a hooligan i suppose. Trisha looks absolutely glamorous and also is equally shimmering with beauty. Its been a long time since I saw her look so beautiful. The songs, Mudhal Mazhai Ennai Azhaithadhe and Oru Mugamo are different and soothing to our ears. The other songs too are melodious and pleasing to the ears. My friend ajay has offered us tickets but unfortunately we wont be abvle to make it on that day. So, lets wait and watch for the biggest release this Pongal. Wish Linguswamy and Vikram all the very best for his film to become a grand success.

Billa - The remake

Tomorrow is going to be a red letter day in the history of Kollywood. Tomorrow, december, the 14th, Billa, the Ajith starrer, which is the remake of yesteryear film Billa starring Rajni, is going to be released worldwide. The movie, even before its release has created wide expectations and it is rest assured that the movie is going to be a blockbuster. The movie is shot in Malaysia and there is absolutely no dearth for glamour as Nayanthara and Namitha are part of this film. The film is going to be a very rich one according to the director and some never before scenes, in competence with hollywood are expected to be in the film. Ajith fans are expecting a huge treat from Thala. But, the biggest question? Will Ajith be able to give a performance on par with Superstar Rajnikanth? That is a big question in deed. But, by the looks of it, I think, Ajith will come out with a splendid performance. The trailor itself was pure class and I hope the movie is as engrossing and as classy as the trailor. The movie is going to be a blockbuster for sure because both Ajith fans and Rajni fans will be eager to watch the movie. The Vijay fans meanwhile will have every reasons to flaunt at the movie and find faults from the movie to enrage the Ajith fans. But, I hope the movie turns out to technically brilliant and I also hope that Ajith comes out with a near flawless performance. All the best for the movie.

Chak De India

The title may confuses you a bit. What I am talking about, is not the Indian cricket team, but the latest bollywood movie Chak De India. Shah Rukh khan has played the lead role in the film. As the coach of the Indian Women’s hockey team, King Khan has come out with a flawless performance. He is to be lauded for his amazing effort and he proves his mettle as the badshah of Bollywood once again. The cast in the film ie the girls in the women’s hockey team, are all new faces but have come out with good performances. What is more absorbing about the movie is that, the matches played have been shot quite realistically. The movie has all the ingredients in it. The movie is full of action, sentiment, romance, ego, anger, joy and all of these in a limited manner. Nothing is overdose in this movie. King Khan has stamped his class yet again after such a nerveless performance and I wonder how the new comers were able to match him screen by screen. The girls particularly, the goalkeeper and the main striker are a blend of talent and beauty. They have clearly explained the legacy of women’s hockey and have told about the importance of this forgotten sport. Also, the producer needs to be applauded for making such a brave attempt. Bollywood rocks once again.. Chak De India!!
